For Madeline Moore, accounting has always been about more than numbers. It’s about people, relationships, and helping organizations make a meaningful impact in their communities.
As a Senior Accountant at DZA, Madeline oversees staff on engagements while working closely with clients and firm leadership to keep projects moving smoothly. Whether coordinating audit engagements or supporting clients, she enjoys collaborating with her teammates and helping mission-driven organizations succeed.
Finding the Right Fit
Accounting has been part of Madeline’s life for as long as she can remember. With a mom, aunt, and cousin all working in the profession, she was introduced to the field early and discovered it aligned well with her strengths.
While she always gravitated toward business, accounting wasn’t her first career experience. During high school, she completed nursing internships before realizing one important thing: she couldn’t handle blood. That experience ultimately confirmed that accounting was the better path.
After graduating from Whitworth University with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Accounting, she began her career at a large accounting firm. Although she gained valuable experience, she quickly realized she was looking for something different.
“Community has always been something I highly value,” she says. “I wanted to find a firm where people genuinely cared about each other and their clients.”
That search led her to DZA.
Serving Clients with Purpose
Today, Madeline’s work focuses primarily on hospital audits and cost reports, and she is also a member of DZA’s Form 990 team. She enjoys helping organizations with meaningful missions while building lasting relationships with the people behind them.
One of her proudest professional accomplishments has been passing all four sections of the CPA exam. She is currently in the process of applying for her CPA licensure, marking another exciting milestone in her career.

As a remote employee, she appreciates the intentional effort DZA makes to keep team members connected, regardless of where they work. From regular collaboration to the firm’s annual conference, she has experienced firsthand how investing in relationships creates a stronger team.
“It would be easy as a remote worker to feel like you’re on an island,” she says. “DZA makes the effort to keep everyone connected and build real relationships.”
She believes those internal relationships naturally extend to clients as well.
“Because we take the time to get to know one another, we also take the time to build relationships with our clients. Even though many of our interactions aren’t face-to-face, those relationships are still incredibly strong.”
Having previously worked in a much larger organization, she especially values DZA’s people-first culture.
“My previous firm gave me valuable experience, but I was looking for a workplace where people truly cared about one another and about giving back to the community. At DZA, I’ve found incredible people who genuinely support each other and share a commitment to serving others.”
Rooted in Community
Originally from Leavenworth, Washington, Madeline credits growing up in a small town with shaping her strong sense of community and desire to care for those around her.
She currently lives in Las Vegas, but is excited to return to Washington later this year, when she and her husband, Jordan, relocate to Wenatchee. Jordan will begin working at Confluence Health after graduating from physician assistant school, and the move will bring them closer to family, including her parents, who still live in Leavenworth.
The couple also shares their home with their energetic two-year-old Bernedoodle, Eddie.
Outside of work, Madeline enjoys hiking, skiing, reading, Pilates, and taking Eddie on long walks. She also looks forward to reconnecting with the community after the move and hopes to become involved with nonprofit organizations throughout the Wenatchee Valley.
One Fun Fact
Most people are surprised to learn that Madeline taught yoga while she was in college.
Her favorite joke about that experience?
“I taught yoga in college, but I still can’t touch my toes!”
