Sabrina Woods, CPA, MA

Sabrina Woods joined DZA in November 2025, bringing more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, auditing, financial leadership, and consulting services for governmental, healthcare, not-for-profit, and small-to-mid-sized organizations. With a career spanning Big Four firms, regional CPA firms, and executive leadership roles, Sabrina is known for her strategic insight, technical expertise, and commitment to strengthening organizations through sound financial management and internal controls.

Sabrina specializes in governmental and not-for-profit auditing, Yellow Book compliance, internal control consulting, CFO advisory services, and organizational process improvement. Throughout her career, she has led complex audit engagements, developed financial reporting systems, guided ERP implementations, and provided audit readiness and compliance consulting for organizations across the country.

Prior to her consulting work, Sabrina served as CFO for the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership, where she oversaw approximately $50 million in federal, state, and private funding while leading compliance, reporting, and financial operations for a large quasi-governmental organization. She has also owned and operated her own CPA firm, providing audit, accounting, tax, and advisory services to clients ranging from local governments and educational institutions to nonprofit organizations and small businesses.

Sabrina began her career with Ernst & Young and has also held leadership roles with several respected accounting firms in both Texas and Illinois. Her broad industry experience includes healthcare, government, education, construction, financial services, and nonprofit sectors.

Known for her collaborative leadership style and passion for mentoring teams, Sabrina believes strong financial operations are built through integrity, communication, and empowering people to perform at their highest level.
